Default Interior Lights Short/Blowing fuses

Hey Guys,

Anyone here have a problem with the interior lights fuse blowing? My Vette has an aftermarket Kenwood DDX Unit/Boston Acoustic Components/Amp. Is it possible that this is the source of my problems (although all other electrical components are fine)? I bought my vette pre-owned so I dont know the timing relation to stereo install and interior light shortage. Thanks.

I've got this problem with a completely stock 2008 2LZ Z06 with 1500 miles on it. I bought it used, the car is perfect with the exception of no interior lights as replacing the fuse results only in a blown fuse.

I have the factory service manuals and have yet to find a diagram that reveals the location of the plugs in the circuit. My goal was to unplug subsections in the circuit to isolate the short that is obviously present.

Follow up:

The fuse was blowing as a result of a short so the goal is to locate the short.

Hoping to find it easily I started unplugging things and thereafter putting another fuse in the circuit to test it.

Easy things first: underhood light, interior mirror and finally the driver's side visor.

It was the driver's side visor. The plug had the insullation stripped off the wires. Likely has never worked.

The car is perfect now.
