A6 Shift **** problem?

Hi all,

Bought a Shift **** for my 2008 A6 Vette from DSV. Had it installed by my Chevy dealer Corvette Tech. **** fit great but would not let the car go into park. It did lock into park, but when you went to shut it off, the DIC said shift to park and would not shut the car off. Switched back to my ****, no problem. Did this 3 times. Same thing.

So I am wondering if I got someones 2005 ****.Since the 2005 A4 is a different transmission and engine...Could explain this problem. Anyone have any other ideas.
