doing the pump is about an hour job, very simple. The belts come off very simply by releasing the tensioners. if your having trouble releasing a serpentine belt tensioner you might want to source the job out. good luck either way
Reading the comments about knowledge of working on this car, I'll throw my two cents worth in there. I've worked on so many cars in my life, like many others, I can't count them all. But, one thing I do is to do my homework first, before embarking on any job under the hood. Mostly its to insure there are no surprises and that I have "all" of the parts needed to do the job correctly the first time, so I'm not having to do it all over again. So I'm inclined to ask questions when there's a doubt, research my manuals and etc and lastly, by "looking" at the area of interest, in detail, before proceeding. I think the OP was simply doing the his due diligence to insure he's going to do things right. His last post showed that he did and completed the job properly.
