My car has lost its mind!!!!
I have a 2005 corvette that i just replaced the battery in the car and both fobs. The car locked me out last night and fobs would not work. I had to disconnect the battery to reset the security system. Now Im hearing a clicking noise from the dash while im driving. The rear hatch keeps popping by itself... when i shut it.. its popps open again. WTF. It would not start last nite but the doors opened. Unhooked the battery and car started again. It seems like its not recognizing the fobs....or security system is failing? Please help

Not sure if it will prevent the car from starting, but it sounds like the hatch release switch is stuck or damaged. There is a thread on taking the switch out and cleaning it. I would try at least disconnecting it to see if it fixes your problem. If the switch is stuck in the "pressed" position, it will cause a serious malfunction to the central locking system, and you will hear that 'click' sound from the center of the dash.
If it is the switch, I'd just replace it. They are only a few bucks. Hope this helps,
The very same thing has happened to me after owning the car now for 3 years i have experienced a number of electrical problems from the hatch popping up on its own to a clicking sound in the radio area and now the icing on the cake.My lights for driving at night work for about 20-30 minutes while driving and then turn off and this leaves me no option but to turn on the high beams to get home.I have checked relays, fuses and have tightened grounds but no luck. Also only two modes only work on my traction control button now. This has been very frustrating to me as i love this car and i have $$$$ into modifications.I took it to the dealer and my car was making a grinding noise when i would put it into gears and they claim they replaced the synchros but they told me i needed a pilot bearing and a new clutch and they gave me back my car after i rerfused to pay $1500.00 for a new clutch.Any help on these problems would be a great help!!!
do you have any electrical mods...new radio, ipod adaptor, etc.
if you do that may be your problem. remove the ipod interface if you have one.
my stereo is the original bose system and the only upgrades are motor work and a full exhaust. My main concern now is my driving lights. They work for about 20-30 minutes then just turn off leaving me with no choice but to turn on my high beams to get home.I think im going to take the car to a vette specialist. The dealer that i bought the car from is garbage and only has one corvette tech and he seems like a moron.I paid cash to have my traction control fixed and he didnt do it so i told him to give me my money back.I was then given my money back.He left oil stains inside my car and he was a real jerk. The dealer is Dadeland cheverolet in Miami Florida and the Service Manager is called Fabian, hes also a moron.
Oh man!! Run don't walk to the nearest real repair shop... I found one up here in Jupiter. Dealer kept saying to me that "Well ya know maam you have a performance vehicle"
