Default Question on front balancer LS2

i have a 2005 ls2 vert. am installing a cam in it, and wanted to do it right. i am replacing the crankbolt. my dealer says the diamond washer is not available alone. he says you must buy a balancer also. has anyone ran into this problem, and if so what was the answer besides buying a balancer? thanks, cranky

There is no washer. It's a one piece crankbolt. It has the diamond
coating on the back of the head. Just buy a crankbolt from the dealer.

The very thin washer that sits behind the balancer is available seperate. It is GM part # 12600525. I sell them occasionally.

Early 2005's suffered from the bolt backing out. It was rumored to be an issue with the shallw hole in the crank. GM remedied the issue by using a washer for that year. He does need it.
