How was 1st and 2nd before the clutch replacement? How does it go into reverse now?
When does the clutch begin to engage as you release it? Does it try to creep foward when at a stop light? If it goes in reverse easily, doesn't creep and begins to engage about an inch off the floor, it's not the clutch. If It is, It probaly still has some air in the line. Make sure the trans is filled to correct level. It would seem unusual to me for the 1st gear synchro to be bad. When was the last time you banged 1st?

thanks for the info doesn't creep ..was fine before the clutch. reverse is fine hardly ever bang it I think it's a adjustment.. engaes about an inch to 1.5 off he floor. I told them to recheck clutch adjustment and linkage first. Our dealer is a putz and incompetent.
