Do you know your build date of your car? GM started using the new SMC tops in August of 2006. If your car was built after August, you already have an SMC top which could be why you have not experienced delamination yet.

I have a 07 w the glass top. I get creeking from small bounces & turns. It
seem,s like the latches need lubrication or something as if I open and close them it will temporily go away.
