Has anybody installed a set of headers from this company. They are listed for less than $700 including catted x-pipe. The headers list to be manufactured from 321 stainless.

yes, i have bought a set and installed them. they are good quality and the welds are tig. you also get the x-pipe with them. where the x-pipe connects in the rear, i use a high quality band clamp and butt the pipes together. you will need to get three O2 bung plugs from jegs. they are 18mm and do not come with the x-pipe. you should use GM stock gaskets for the headers. i also got a set for a friends vette and installed them too. also, you will need to trim about 3/8's of an inch off the pass. side bottom of the floor. or you can beat it back with a hammer for clearance.

Got a set on my '08 A6 Vert. Good quality and not a bad install. Besides the items cranky calls out, you'll need a set of O2 sensor extensions (got mine from autowiringsolutions.com) and a tune, as it will run rich and throw codes. Made 400.7 rwhp and 401.8 torque with the tune and all else stock. I like 'em.
I'm not thinking that beating on my Vette is something I will be doing. Thats 2 header manufactures I can cross off my list. The collector to x-pipe connection doesn't sound very appealing either. Thanks to all who chimed in.

I think I'll be buying a set of these....... He went from 436 stock to 488 with the headers and a tune. That's if you go with a 18% loss in HP through the drive train. For the price you can't beat it!
JW are there any specials going right now on them shipped to 55119

Thanks for considering us for your header purchase.
Sorry no specials on these. They're pretty much as low as I can go
Headers are something that takes patience and in some cases a little work no matter who you buy from.
Although my LG headers slipped into place with zero interferences or hassle, I still had to bend my dry sump oil line bracket to get the lines to not rub the headers. It was really easy, but sometimes you just have to mess with stuff. However, putting the exact same headers on my buddy's '05 C6... we didn't have to do a damn thing.
Yes, sometimes you have to beat the crap out of something to make a part fit, but there are some manufacturers out there that have non-interference parts. For $700, though, I wouldn't complain.
I've been more than satisfied with JW Motoring's parts that I've bought thus far and for under $1000 shipped with O2 extensions you can't go wrong!!! Once I install them this spring I'll make sure to post the Dyno #'s : )
