I want to install this cam in my C6 and I was wondering if any one has tried it before? How does it idle? Power gains? RPM band? Driveability? any issues?
Its part of a kit that TFS has a GENX kit that is to do about 550bhp but I found some LS3 heads that I may get and wondering if I should just get the other things that the kit include to make my own kit. The reason I would be getting the LS3 heads is because they where ported to flow about 362cfm intake and 269 exhaust and I am only guessing that the TFS 225, well only flow 225cfm's.
here are the specs on the cam: Camshaft, Hydraulic Roller Tappet, Duration @ .050 in. 238/242, Lift .595/.595, Chevy, 4.8, 5.3, 5.7, 6.0L
NO ONE! thats a shocker! I have always used the Trick Flow products and I usually come out on top... this is a shocker that no one has used this cam when Trick Flow has an entire kit for the LS2.
Check out spinmonster spec cams, they work! There are testimonials on this forum.
well the thing is that I use to have a TF stage 2 cam on my 95 Cobra and loved it! So I would like to try this one on my Vette. Its Stage 4 from TF. I bet Spinmonster spec cams are great... but I am trying to find out if anyone has any experiance with this specific cam.
Here's Spin at work again,............your tearing your motor down, you may as well get the power your looking for,........fly-cut . dont put yourself short now, just a little bit more money for extra H.P. Well worth it.
