vibration C5
2000 C5 automatic coupe has a low rpm vibration (about 200rpm above low idle-when you have come to a stop, at low idle you cannot hear the noise) noticed only when coming to a stop with foot off of accelerator; the sound is as if the exhaust pipes are barely hitting the frame some place, I have had this thoroughly checked and that is not the problem. At about 70-75 mph you can also sense a slight eliptical vibration(sort of high and low but steady) my thought is that this could be the same vibration showing up at another rpm. Any one ever experienced anything like this, very annoying when driving in slow speed stop and go city traffic? Thanks for any help!

If the noise is coming from the rear check the three bolts that hold the wheel bearing/hub on. I had a rubbing noise that only happend when I make left hand turns and when stopping. Come to find out the three bolts were backed out. Took them out and cleaned them; installed them back with loctite and all's well.
