I am finally getting around to fixing my Z - I got in an accident at the track and the left front frame rail has a split in it. The car still runs and can drive around a parking lot - it held all fluids on impact, etc. The doors open and close fine and all the panels rear of the firewall are fine.
I brought the car to a collision repair shop in Marshfield, MA, which is owned by the brother of the guy who runs Slowhawk Performance, which I think is a forum sponsor. The place is called East Coast Collision, but they told me they didn't want to take on this project with the aluminum frame.
I would go to a dealer shop that has experience repairing Corvettes. Since you are in Boston there should be a number of them that could do the repair. Maybe McMulkin in NH could do the job. They sell a lot of Vettes and may get some in for collision repairs. If that doesn't work I would look outside the area. The guys at Phoenix are advertising they can do repairs. Since they track prep a lot of Vettes and probably have repaired some involved in track crashes they may be able to do this as well. I would also suggest talking to Gary Hoffman (Hardbar) since he is right in your backyard and may know where you should take the car.
