Default Fuel tank question

I'm still experiencing problems with my 2005 C6. Can some please explain how the twin gas tank system works. Is the balance between the two tanks accomplished by gravity through a balance tube or is this done using the electric fuel pump in the driver's side tank. Is there a second electric fuel pump on the passenger side of the car?
I'm trying to diagnose a fuel issue with the car. It's either running out of fuel because the pump can't keep up, or I have water/debris in the tank. I think understanding how the tank system works may help me determine what is wrong.

Thanks

there is only one electric fuel pump. it is in the driver's side tank. the pass. side tank has jet pump that works off the fuel pressure side of the electric pump. it's job is to bring fuel over to the electric fuel pump. therefore, both tanks feed evenly to keep the weight balanced. use a fuel pressure gauge connected to the fuel rail on the driver's side to properly diagnose fuel problems. a fuel injected car lives or dies on the correct fuel pressure....................... hope this helps.
