I have a 383 with a Procharger. Making about 600hp but running out of gas with a Racetronix and BAP.
I was briefly told that I could mod the existing fuel filter?? or use 97-98 parts to do something to help (but didn't get all the specifics at the time)
I know the earlyer filters did not have a fuel pressure regulator built in, that was why they were less expensive, maybe you should try one of those, or dump the original filter and find one that might fit in the space without too much modifying of the lines.
Look at the end connections and see if you can match one up, fram books used to have filter identfying photos, check one of those books out a an auto parts store.
