double roller on LS3
ok I have a question for the great minds of the fourm.
can you put a double roller on an LS3 and if so what do you have to modify if anything and where do you get them?
I think I seen an LS3 engine on here for sale that had the double roller timing set on it. I'm going to install a cam here soon and would really like to use a double roller if possible.

I put a double roller on an LS1 and it should be pretty similar to the LS3 (other than the single versus the three bolt cam gear). It's a little bit of a pain to do. In order to achieve clearance for the wider chain, you have to space out the oil pump. The kit comes with the spacers, but now the oil pick-up tube no longer lines up perfectly. It took me three tries to get the pick-up tube in the pump without pinching the o-ring. And you have to use a mirror to make sure the o-ring is in properly or when you start your car you will not have good oil pressure.
