Default bi mode or NPP

I have a 2005 LS2 vette and i am thinking on sticking with either the NPP and get the wireless switch or buying the Z06 bi mode. I am wondering what is the main difference in the two?

I think that the NPP has smaller tips but other than that? The Bi Mode mufflers are from 2006-2008, will those fit my 2005? All insight will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

NPP is just the RPO code that GM uses to identify the dual mode exhaust option on a C6. C6 dual mode mufflers are NPP RPO code mufflers and have 2.5 inch over axle pipes and are a direct bolt in to a 2005-2008 C6 if the NPP mufflers came from a 2008 C6. 2009-2010 C6 NPP mufflers have a different over axle pipe bend and are not a direct bolt in to a 2008 and earlier C6.

Z06 mufflers are also dual mode, but are not the same as NPP mufflers
from a C6. The Z06 mufflers have 3 inch over axle pipes and are not a direct bolt in to a C6. You would need to adapt them to fit.

The tips on both the Z06 and NPP are the same size. NPP tips have perforations in them, Z06 are smooth inside them.

The Z06 mufflers are a bit quieter in the open/loud mode than the C6 NPP mufflers. There is a "Z06 muffler mod" that can be done to make the Z06 mufflers the same sound as NPP mufflers.

In order to control the mufflers you will need a bi-mode exhaust vacuum retrofit kit. It contains all the vacuum tubing, vacuum solenoid, wiring and electronic controller needed to operate the butterflies.

I have helped many people get their retrofitted bi-mode exhaust system up and running so if you need any help or info, feel free to get a hold of me anytime.
