Has anyone tried putting Z06 tires/rims on the standard coupe body (non-wide body)? Any pics? Any reason it wouldn't work? I assume it would just look like the tire is about 1 1/2 inches wider than the fender, right?
I've got a friend who did this to his 08 coupe... it kinda gives the coupe a muscle car look. On really rough interstates he does get a bit of rubbing... no complaints on the handling.
I'll try to get some pics taken and post them if you like.
You can put the wheels on but you need to go under size on the tires, the stock c6 tires are too narrow for the wheels, and the Z tires are a little too wide,
They are pics somewhere in the General catorgory od stock c6's with Z wheels.
I bought a set to put on my 08 but I traded the car and got a new GS, if your interested I have a set of oem Z polished for 750 plus ship.

That'd be great if its not to much hassle. Did he have to alter suspension or anything?

Here are some crude pics (cell phone camera and it was beginning to rain so he didn't want to pull it out of the garage). If you'd like to see this better, let me know and we can get some better photos in the sunlight. I may be the only one on the CF that actually thinks this looks on his car (flame suit on).
He did not do any suspension alterations and has no rubbing issues unless he's driving at high speeds on a rough interstate - then he has experienced slight rub with the bounce in suspension. If you'd like more info, PM me and I'll be glad to put you in touch with this car owner.
