Default Methanol kit help

So I just got done being chewed out by a methanol kit vendor (who shall remain nameless) for using any sort of methanol kit that utilizes quick disconnect fittings in their kit. I was told that anyone who does it is stupid and that it is extremely unsafe. So my question becomes. Is is really that bad? I have read dozens of posts from people who wave installed a kit from various vendors who use those fittings without a problem.

I used one of "those" kits with the quick connect fittings on a supercharged mustang I had. Line popped off while in boost and cost me the engine. This was after about 5K problem free miles. Needless to say I won't use those kind of lines again.

Maybe theres a concern about the alcohol leaking. Sometimes quick disconnect fittings use rubber seals and the alcohol can dry them out and cause them to leak. That would be the only reason I could possibly see not to use them.

Fuel and quick disconnects is a little too dangerous for me, if you hit one and it dosen't disconnect right then but does after you hit a bump you could cause a fire and loose your car.

Well I will mention the kit I was planning on using because it has nothing to do with the vendor in which I am speaking of. I was planning on using a Labonte stage 3 kit. I also know of countless other people on the forum in which use kits with these fittings. In fact I only know of one kit which does not. And just in case that might give some of you a clue in which kit I am speaking of, I will say right not that is was "Not" that company that sell the kit who chewed me out.

I'm a firm believer in AN fittings and hose assemblies,
Quick disconects are a NO-NO IMHO.
My ECS Meth kit came with what I expected and it came highly recomended.
They are believers in Safety and Funtionality!!
