Other than the window indexing, that's it. Check your clock in the radio/nav to see if it retained time. Just swapped mine out a month ago and everything powered back up and memory selections retained settings. However, some guys have indicated that they had to reset some memory selection settings (i.e., seat(s) and mirror(s)). You will definitely lose the temporary memory readings in the DIC such as average MPG.

Yeah, but when I did mine the mirror positions needed to be reset and reentered into memory, too.

Default Battery change out

Can you avoide the problems if you hook up the battery tender to the Cig. plug inside the car. So there is power, while the battery is removed?

That's probably not a good idea. I think it would be safer and easier to reset a couple of things.

The last time I went to Sears(?) for a battery in my Camaro, they plugged something into the cigarette lighter hole and "held" my radio and junk while they swapped out the battery.

Actually, if you have it, use it but it's not that big a deal to reindex and reset the mirrors and seat. If you don't remember to drive sensibly for 50 or so miles so the ECM can get it's bearings (reload some tables) and function properly.

I have disconnected the battery several times in my Z when changing seats over to race seats. Each time I have done that nothing has happened. I didn't even know you were supposed to re-index the windows until I saw a posting on the forum. They always worked properly after I disconnected the battery.
