Spoke too soon... 2.56s.

Anyway would still like to get the "latest" opinions on the 3200 and 3.15s or 3.42s for a DD.

Thanks

Default That is what I would do

I would REALLY like to go to 3.15's, just not sure of what stall I would go with.

Most people with a calculator tell you 3.42s are too steep but those with 3.42's say its the way to go. My advice is go for a ride with the 3.42s and I think you will want them.

Only take advice on a mod from someone with that mod (or who gad it at one time). People love to comment on what they dont have.

So how do you like the 3.42's in your A6? they are a great gear ratio for a manual 6 speed.

I swithed from 3.42's to 4.56's in my 2001 TA and loved both.

I would think that 3:42's would be awesome on an A6...however, the A6 has a pretty low 1st gear. You might end up with traction issues. I'll wait to read any input too.

I'm about to go to the 3.42 gears... what additional impact does the 3200 Yank have on this setup? ...need to learn. Thanks!

Not fully sure, my tuner suggested it as my next mod, so here I am as part of research.

Heres an ongoing thread http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...ear-in-a6.html

I had an 07' A6 that I put 3.42's in and my experience was the same as above but I was running stock converter.........
