Most of us start with cold air induction, exhaust mods, and tuning. If you search these items , you will find numerous options and combinations. After that it's heads, cam , forced induction, ect. Good luck, the process is part of the fun. [ P.S. the MGW shifter is also a great mod. ]

Plemole, please don't take this the wrong way...

The number one, most cost effective enhancement you can spend your money on would be to enroll in a high performance driver's ed program...if you haven't had any advanced driver training, you can't exploit the potential that's already built into the car (this is the voice of experience speaking)...

That said, then, the fun stuff we all like to do to our cars is even better when we do the fun stuff we like to do in our cars...

As far as modifying the car goes, you have two paths to travel...one, you can play with the engine, via cams, intakes, exhaust, and programming in order to make it a better air pump (the more air that gets pumped through an engine, the more power it makes)

Path two is to concentrate on the tires, suspension, and brakes...

My suggestion would be to learn to extract all the potential the car has inherently, and when you start to get bored, then look to enhancing it's performance...just sayin'...

I completely disagree unless he is directly talking about track-only performance. If he is asking about racing at a track, then yes, I agree that a high performance driving school is money well invested.

If I had to do only 3 things for max everyday performance I would do a supercharger, tune and tires.

The most importatnt thing you can do with your car is track it. No special school, just go to a public track day.
