I had my clutch stick and not return the other day. I have read many posts on this subject and decided to take my car to the dealer to have the clutch fluid flushed and replaced. The dealer said it will be about $300. Is this correct? This seems like a lot of money.
Then the dealer calls me back and says that the mechanic feels they should check out the master cylinder as it may need repair/replacing. He tells me that if this is the case then the cost of doing the fluid flush would be a little less.
Man do they have me confused on this one. It is a 2008 with 34k miles so I still have my warrenty for the cylinder repair/replacement.
Ends up the cylinder was leaking and I was almost out of fluid. They ordered a new one and will do everything under warrenty
the original question was what is a fair price for a clutch fluid flush. The dealer says they go underneath and flush the hoses. Not just a removal of fluid in the container and refill. $300 seems steep

Glad it was fixed under warranty.

R&R of the container will clean it all out. It takes a number of cycles to do it, but it works. That's why so few people can tell you what the price for a flush is.
