False message "Left Front Tire Flat" on a C6
All of a sudden, the "Flat Tire" warning turned on, on my C6, but the tire is just fine!!! It says "Left Front Tire Flat".
When I push the button for the Tire Pressures, it shows "0". The tire is just fine. I checked the pressure at the nearest gas station and it is 100% correct.
Once in a while I get this false message, but within a minute or two, it goes away and the system corrects itself. Today, it stayed on, despite the fact that I drove the car on and off highway, and turned it off and on a few times.
Any ideas? Do I need a new TPMS sensor (left-front), or is it something else?

Exact same thing is happening to me. False left front tire flat message popping up and then going away. Tire pressures are perfect. I've had my '08 just over two years now and it hasn't been to the dealership for anything, so I guess it's finally time to take in it for it's first warranty visit.
Happened to me also for the first time Friday. DIC said I had a flat right front tire, then after about 45 sec it went away and all was well again. I think there is a battery in the weel sensor that may be getting weak.

When you replace a TPMS sensor it will have to be programmed. Here is an excerpt from the 2007 owners manual.
TPMS Sensor Identification Codes
Each TPMS sensor has a unique identification
code. Any time you replace one or more of
the TPMS sensors, the identification codes will
need to be matched to the new tire/wheel position.
The sensors are matched, to the tire/wheel
positions, in the following order: driver’s side front
tire, passenger’s side front tire, passenger’s
side rear tire, and driver’s side rear tire using a
TPMS diagnostic tool. See your GM dealer
for service.
I just bought an ATEQ TPMS reset tool from the Tire Rack today to use on my 2007 Corvette and 2009 Silverado. The tool only cost $113 shipped.
