I am not 100% sure but I bet it may be the only option. There are some competition radials in 19" for road racing but the DR's are pretty limited, as 19" is not the best wheel/tire size for drag racing.

nitto doesnt make a 19" nt05 that fits a regualr body c6. They only have sizes for a widebody. You will have a much larger selection in 18inch. You could either widen a set of stock fronts or get a set of 18inch reproduction wheels to fit.

Do they make an Nt05 and an NT05R? I think he may be taking about just the NT05.

That's the NT05, not the NT05R.

Are they stickier than the Invos I have on now? I want the best tire for drag racing on my stock 19"s.. I don't like z06 or ZR1 style rims enough to shell out another $800

Treadwear ratings

Invo's
W's = 260
Y's = 220

NT-05
200

NT-05R
I don't know it's rating but it is probably under 100

The lower that number the stickier the tire will be and the quicker it will wear..

The original post said drag radials, You see only 1 19" size. I have the NT05 on my car 265/18 fronts and 335/19 rears. I really like the tire. Way better all around tire than GY F1's. But that is not hard to do.

The use of 19" wheels on a prepped track will break things especially if they are drag radials.

The tall/soft sidewall of a 28" 18 zero compound which is what the 305/40/18 is, will perform extremely well especially for 4.10 geared cars.

If you go the cheap route and get a 19" drag radial for a prepped track, you will break the driveline resulting in a $4K repair bill.

Use of the hard 200 compound NT05 (not the R) will get you the same 1.8 to 2.0 60 foot results as a runcrap. since it wont be hooking great, its easier on the drive line.

Thanks, so to follow up on that which 305/40/18 tires do you recommend? Mickey T's or NT05R's?

I went ahead and ordered N05 in stock sizes.. should be a little better than the Invos for straight line. I don't go to the track often.

Man do I feel good. That is my exact setup with my 4.10 gears. Thanks Spin!

just letting you know, stock rear size is 285/35/19. The nt05's you ordered are 275/35/19 and will be narrower than stock. Nitto does not make these tires in a size to correctly fit a regular c6.

Update: Found out Discount Tire offers a Gumby wheel in 18x10.5"
Ordered the wheels and NT05R 285/40/18 for the rear.
