Default Headers - Kooks "Stepped" for LS2/3

FYI: I have an 05' MN6 Z51 with a Halltech Venom & Corsa Xtreme Exhaust on it already. Sitting at 357 SAE rwhp.

I know headers are going to be my next mod. I have gathered the big 3 seems to be Kooks, AR and LG. From the numbers i have seen on the 1 3/4 LG SuperPro those are where I am leaning when i am ready to do this mod.

I had seen the "Stepped" ones for the Z06 in the past but just came across these today.

http://www.zip-corvette.com/ProductDetails/ProductDetails.aspx?pid={76d6cb93-da51-4a36-ab0e-43b82fee7f1a}&gid={de0a20b4-ed05-404e-a9d6-e400a9bbe3d5}&GroupName=Kooks+Long+Tube+ Headers&pname=05-10+LS2%2fLS3+Kooks+Full+Length+%22Steppe d%22+Header&Referer=&Alias=&ptct=SGR-SR&CTitle=&

The idea behind them seems like a good idea, just wondering if anyone has had any experience, any dyno numbers. As headers and a tune will probably be my last mod for a while i want to pick the right ones.

The last pull on our 06 LS2 had our intake on it, our stepped headers and a Corsa exhaust, it made 392 on the wheels. I will see if I can find the chart.

Please let me know if you do, PM me if you would rather send it by e-mail. The final numbers on mod 1 3/4 headers look pretty similar but LG had a substantial torque gain on the lower end which would always be beneficial. I know so much of what you do to your car depends on your application, the idea of the "stepped" seems like a good one for versitility.

If you can find that chart please let me know sounds very similar to my car.

with LeMans05C6..... I am curious about Stepped Headers as well. This is the specific header I want more performance info on.... specifically Dyno results... on a STOCK LS7.... comparing the other popular brands.... AND the Kooks Stepped Headers I provided a link to.

link: http://www.zip-corvette.com/ProductD...GR-SR&CTitle=&

The rest of my post is for the experts who can answer my questions... LOGICALLY!
I am interested only in DATA mined from DYNO pulls..... not marketing hype!!! PLEASE... do NOT degrade this thread into another "Header Wars" pissing match thread!!!

The information I seek would show dyno pull graphs with different headers (AND the Kooks Stepped Headers) on a STOCK LS7.

And yes, I do realize different headers (size-brand-type) will enhance or take away performance, DEPENDING on the car's setup and intended use!

DATA GRAPHS from dyno pulls only please!

Ideally, if the same engine... with the same overall configuration... on the same dyno ...and hopefully with the same -or- close to same atmospheric temp and pressure for each test would be helpful for a good comparison. I do realize temp, atmospheric pressure, and various dyno manufacturers will cause results to vary.

I am just trying to use known facts and data to make an informed choice .... And I also KNOW that LG, ARH, KOOKS, MELROSE all make VERY GOOD headers!!!

IF you have brand A, B, C or D "headers" and are happy with your choice ...GREAT ...if you are not happy, I am sorry.... I am not interested in ..."I love my brand of headers -or- I hate my brand or my buddies brand.." type comments.

I am intrigued by the 1 3/4" Stepped to 2" primaries going to a 3" collector header setup .... I've heard the marketing hype, it worked by catching my curiosity, NOW I need DATA!!!
