Default Interior Trim Panel removal

Hey guys.
I need to remove my interior trim panels on a 2007 coupe. I'm trying to remove the door latch and need to get behind it to remove a cover plate. I've looked at the dealer parts place for the exploded diagram and know where I need to get. Then I checked his service removal instructions for the removal procedure. Their pictures look good but it seems like their fasteners aren't right. The dealer wasn't Vette certified so they have no direct experience.
Can anyone give me some guidance ?
Thanks.

The door panel isn't the issue right now, BUT, as soon as I saw the panel laying with the insulation exposed, I thought about searching the threads for the different sound deadeners. Maybe someone has a post that will help me. you did put me on the right track.
THANKS
