HELP WITH ls7 LIFTER INSTALL !!
I have a new set of LS7 Lifters i'm trying to install. It does look straight foreward except there is a small hole in the side of the Lifter. Does the hole side go up or does it face down. Perhaps it does not make any difference. I need to know. Please help

In my 06 manual it states to align the flat area on the top of the lifter with the flat area in the lifter guide bore, push the lifter completely into the guide bore.
Hopefully there's only one way the lifter fits into the lifter guide bore, and answers your question regarding the hole you are referring to.

I've done several H/C on LS motors. The lifters from the factory are random as far as direction of oil port (up-down or front back depending on lifter type). The lifter guides will force you to orient the rollers parallel with the cam lobe though
