does running an '09 base coupe w/o TPMS cause a dash light/error code?
I'm going to be running a set of iForged Aeros and had heard that sometimes TPMS didn't work w/ them and I'd like to know if I need to figure out a way to install them, or if no lights will trigger and I can just track tire pressure the old fashion way.

On the C5 it could be, but sensors were on the C5 because they were a good idea - not because they were required by law.
Congress, along with the DOT and NHTSA decided they didn't like those Phord Explorers with Firestone tires flipping over several years ago and killing soccer moms and their kids. So, they passed a law that requires all 4-wheeled vehicles under 10,000 pounds to have a TPMS and tire pressure sensors.
The law started back in about 2004 - the manufacturers had to start progressively complying with the law and for the 2005 model year something like 20% of all their new cars had to comply with the new law mandating sensors. The C6 was just coming out, so it was built to comply with the mandatory requirement to have sensors.
By Sept 2007, the start of the 2008 model year, all new vehicles had to have the tire pressure sensors and a TPMS, and it can't be turned off.

Did you put in new sensors? Or did you get a second set of wheels/tires/sensors?
The TPMS memory can only hold 4 sensor ID#s, so if you have a set of track wheels/tires with a different set of sensors, you'll need to reprogram the sensors every time you swap wheels.
Here's a video of doing the relearn procedure:
So.....you'll need to go to a tire shop (my local Discount Tire does it for free) or a dealership that has a tool.
BTW, the 2005-2009 C6 uses one tire pressure sensor, but the 2010 model uses a different sensor - and they're not compatible with each other.
The 2010 has a different TPMS computer in the car to work with the different sensor, and the 2010 sensor can be triggered during the relearn procedure by changing air pressure in the tire - so a tool is not necessary.

I got the tool to relearn from you
The answer is no, whilst doing the transformation to Euro mode, somehow I deprogrammed the TPMS system - well I have an idea how because I reproduce the problem. :o
Bottom line is that the car doesn't report tire pressure and does not complain (no DTC, nothing, zilch) - I can flip the car back in USA mode and all works perfecto - except the Euro lighting (no DRL for example). issue is getting euro lighting mode and TPMS

I would like to get it back on because it is pretty convenient to quickly check the pressure.

I know the C5 TPMS could be turned on/off with the Tech 2 by going down into the menus until you got to that option.
For a US spec C6 you can't turn it off, but maybe when you switch to Euro mode you can turn it on/off. When you switch the car to Euro spec have you drilled down through all the menus in the Tech 2 to see all the options? Is there an option for TPMS in Tech 2 when in Euro mode? If so, can you turn it on and off?
Good luck, but with all the work you've done to get your car to meet European requirements, I bet you'll figure it out sooner or later!!!
