Default Penny method queston: Tread depth measurments

The grove closest to me with the wheel mounted is at honest Abs hair. The other grooves are alot deeper going to Lincoln's mid-forehead.

I'm not sure if that means 2/32" are left or 4/32" Anyone know how to convert currency to rubber?

yes, but if it's ok across the tread, you may not have to worry about it right away.

just use a toothpick or something like that, measure the depth with it then use a ruler or tape measure to see how many 32's deep it went

Tread measuring tools are cheap. I've got one.

OP, the wear bars on OEM non-Z51 tires are at 3/32" of tread. Many C6 owners here talk about replacing their tires at 2/32" of tread.

Mine is a simple manual gauge that I've had for 3 or 4 years, so I don't remember where I got mine, probably an auto parts store.
