Default Glass top coversion

I have an 09 and it came from the factory with the painted top, i would like to get the glass top. Does anyone need know whats needed to do this coversion. My local dealer quoted me 4800.00??? seems like allot. There must be a way to do this without that much cost. It was only an 1100 option.

There's nothing to convert. The clear and solid tops install the same way and are completely interchangeable. You can pick up a used clear top for maybe $800. You can buy one new from a forum vendor for a little over $1K I think. Occasionally someone with a clear top is looking to swap with someone for a solid top of a specific color...so that might be an option, too.

How your dealer came up with $4800 is beyond me!

$4800

Just some minor hardware/adjustments to install glass top.

I have it on my VR C6 with tinted windows to match and it looks .
I get a lot of compliments.

$4800 sounds about right...........to convert a Z06 to a removable top.

Thanks for the business and for the forum mention. I would be happy to help out. I would also take $4800 if you wanted, lol.

you can get a new glass top without hardware for between $500-$600. just swap the hardware from your painted top to the new glass one.
