Exhaust cutouts right after the headers?

Are there any electrical exhaust cutouts for a 05-06 c6 corvette that are right after the header/Before the cats? also does anyone have a video of any of these, i would love to see one.

Any electric cutout will work. You just wire it to a (+) and (-) with a fused switch in between.

If you are talking about the stock exhaust manifolds, there's really no room between the manifold and the cat. After the cat there is room but it's very tight.

Same for long tube headers as well. The collectors make for a longer manifold - but the cats are still within a few inches of the flange. Also - some header manuf. put their wide band bung in this short space before the cat (instead of in the collector).

so is there no way to simply move the cats back and make room for a cutout? or is it going to be very difficult/and or expensive?

Yep on both accounts. Your best bet is to mount them in the rear.

not worth it in my mind, i would go all out illegal sound with the cutouts or ill just do a catback exhaust, and if the cutouts arent before the cats its useless

i made 6rwhp more cutouts open when i was making 380rwhp, now im making 20hp more open @650, the ability to go from stock quiet to race car loud is priceless
