Default power top issue

Can anybody tell me if you have to do any "reprogramming" of the power top after losing power due to a dead battery. I read where you have to reindex the power windows and if you don't do this your power top will not work. I have done this but still can't get the power top to work. Any info or advice would be appreciated.

i don't think there's a reprog for the power top. but the top must be fully secured for the reindexing of the power windows. and you have to do both windows. remember they both go down when the power top is activated.

Here's a couple notes from the 2008 service manual:

Any additional DIC info? Windows have to be indexed properly, first. Is the luggage barrier switch somehow left in the "safety" closed position? Press accessory or RUN, with the engine OFF. There's also a Tonneau release fuse located in the BCM fuse block.

If you open your doors and the windows don't index down properly, they probably need reindexing.

Otherwise, looks like a scan tool at the dealer can check the curcuit/system. The factory service manuals have some good info.
