Help on Vert top please?
My '05 top is starting to make some squeaking & unhealthy sounding noises going up & down. Absolutely no problem in place up or down. Does anyone have a particular lube & just as importantly where to apply, It almost sounds as if the hydrualic actuators are working harder to move the top. Thanks in advance.

Make sure that the fluid in the reservoir isn't below the minimum level (it's marked on the tank.)
Put the top up. Open the trunk and pull up the carpet on the passenger's side to locate the hydraulics for the top. Check the fluid level in the tank (you can see through the plastic.) If it's lower than it should be ("minimum") that's probably the issue. If you choose to fill it up yourself be sure to cover everything under there with (carpet, body panels, etc) and place a shop cloth around the pump motor to keep any spillage under control.
The fluid itself is GM part # 89022748.
TIghten the filler plug to 18 inch/pounds (2 N-m)
