Default considering splitter install

Can the air dam under the nose be removed with no ill effects if a Cianci splitter is used?

Default splitter install

Only the side wings need be removed in order to install the splitter. The center section can and should stay. It directs air up over the radiator.
The splitter has two openings for air movement to that center section.
As I understand it the air dams main function (as is the splitters), is to prevent air lift on the car at high speeds. That said, the real reason for the splitter is just looks for most of us. If you track your car then it may have real world use.
I have a Cianci splitter for a Z06 for sale.

Thank you for the info, unfortunately I don't have a Z06. I have a 07 coupe that I want to 'dress up a little'. I just like the look of Cianci's splitter and wanted to make sure I'm not going to affect reliability.

pretty sure you will have heating issues if you remove the AIR DAM. That is its whole purpose in life. Hope you can install the splitter with the air dam. I would love to see pictures. good luck
