Default Cam Question

Looking for a Cam I have ordered from Comp Cam but I am tired of waiting it's been a month and still no straight answers as to when the cores will come in. This is the size of Cam I purchased 230/234 on a 114+2
What else is compares to this, any ideas?

my friend just ordered a 230xfi /234xer114+1 and it took less than a week for him to get it. something doesn't seem right. I will say that mine took almost a month though due to holiday's etc. That's what I was told, but it seemed like they forgot about my order or maybe hadn't received it until I called and asked.

Yeah something definitely doesn't seem right. Me and rskeller have both been waiting a month for our cam from comp and we have found out that 2 other people that ordered after us have gotten their cam from comp already.

rskeller did they charge your card for the cam yet? And who did you order the cam off of? (Name of Salesman)

I had Campbell Auto here in Edmonton do the ordering for me, he is doing the install. He has been passing the information to me. Here is a copy of the last email I got from Comp Cam, the sales man is very vague in his responses, very poor customer service.
Hello,
Late models would be the later LS engines like LS3's L99's etc. some
have VVT or DOD or both and the cores are on back order
We have been on back order for the VVT and DOD camshafts for the
> late models

These are the emails I have been getting, I will have to phone them directly to find out what is going on.

What core #? Are you getting a one bolt or a three bolt?

Yeah, that doesn't have core information.

You may be waiting on 1 bolt cores, I can't imagine they'd run out of three bolt cores(which will work just fine).

The X1 cam from LG motorsports is pretty close to that. It's like a 228 232 588 574 on a 114 or 112.

the Part # at the top is the core number. If that's the one that you've got, you're waiting on a 1 bolt.

I put in my orde for the exact same cam (one bolt core) and was charged over a month ago..... I ordered March 23rd, and still have no idea when it will show.

Anybody know where I can get the three bolt cam sprocket and the 3 bolts to convert to this set up?

I just got an updated from my customer support guy and he said

Andy,
If I'm not mistaken, it shows that our vendor shipped some to us on 4/30, so we should have them this week.

Thank you,
Andrew Stroud

I sure hope so. I think our orders should be top priority once the cores are in comps hands. Then we should all get overnight shipping... for free. Guy talked to comp and they said their turn-around is 1 day now so there is no reason why we shouldn't have our cams by this weekend.

I have called once and was on hold for a very long time so I hung up. Also I have had my installer call because they are the ones that ordered it and are installing it for me.

Another update as of 1:30 today

Hey Andy,
They should be here, but they're not showing on the computer. So I'm in the process of finding something out. As a heads up if you email me back, I'll be away from my desk until I find something out for you. I'll let you know as soon as I get some info.

Thank you,
Andrew Stroud
