Default Need NPP in a box HELP

All the retro fit systems say easy 30 min install. They all tap the vaccum on the back of the intake. They say twist off the t fitting like a bottle cap. I can not position my hand on my 2005 in way to be able to get the fitting to move. I am not that big and not weak. Very little room. Plastic engine cover is off. Anybody got a helpful trick. One site said cut it off with a hack saw blade. I can't get a blade back there without being in danger of cutting other things I didn't mean to.
Help Please

I would also be curious to hear what's involved to make this work. I already have one, but know other people that would be interested.

Just had mine done by my mechanic. If you're doing it youself, be ready to get your hand scraped while attempting to connect the vacuum hose to the rear of the intake.

On the 2005 there is a different place to run the vacuum line from on top and front of engine. I got the part from a forum vendor (Ed/pipedreams) - there was no way I could fit my hand behind the engine and get to the fitting.

I read on another post, this issue.

Answer, 11mm socket, Qtr inch drive it twists off.

Search the post, contact the author, I have not done it.

I checked the fit on the part that brakes off and it seems a 13mm socket would work the best, mine is a '07 if they are different sizes, although I would think they would all be the same size.

Default Thanks

Thanks guys. All helpful. I ended up fabricating a wedge out off a small piece of angle iron and wedged it off. Not pretty but it worked. Getting the line on was a lot of fun too. So much for the 30 min install advertised.
