Has anyone ever reused connecting rod bolts on a H/C car??
I would think that most people continue to use/reuse the factory/stock rod bolts when doing only a heads and cam swap actually. It's a bit of a hassle to get to the bottom/inside area of the motor without removing it and you're basically no where near it when swapping just heads or cam with the motor still in the car.
While I agree that it's a good idea to upgrade to some ARP rod bolts when doing a cam and/or heads & cam job, it isn't really required on the later LSx motors (earlier LS1s attempting to turn real high RPMs needed them more in my opinion).
Another exception to this might be when doing heads and a big cam on a super high mileage motor.
Agreed with all of the above! I'd guess that 99% of the people out there doing a H/C swap (especially doing the swap in car), are NOT changing their rod bolts.
