Excessive oil usage after broken exhaust spring
Last year - while regular highway driving, my 20K 2008 C6 car suddenly came to stop. Wouldn’t restart - so Chevy towed me.
FINAL diagnosis - broken exhaust valve. Also, collapsed intake manifold.
Then a few days later, I sometimes notice exhaust smell in the cockpit.
Then oil usage goes up to 1 quart between oil changes; before that it used ZERO oil.
Perusing the dealer invoice (warrantied), I see that the valve seal was never replaced...what's your opinion on that?
So...how many quarts does your C6 use?
