Default engine/fuel question

I'm brand new to the corvette world so forgive me for lack of knowledge. I'm starting to read through threads to learn what i can. I would like to ask a couple basics.

What are the weak links in the power train? I'm curious about the limits of both the auto trans and 6 sp? Also the limits of the rotating assembly? What kind of boost can the LS3 motor handle? Is the fuel system returnless? What kind of power can be made with the stock fuel pump?

Sitting at work and don't have time to answer all these. If you go to the FI section you will find all the answers. The fuel system is a weak link, ask me how I know.

Actually, the weak link in all of these cars is the cast pistons. Any hickup in the valve train and the piston comes apart and turns the connnecting rod into a thrashing machine.

The transmissions are great, but you can quickly reach the limits on the clutch in the manual trans cars and also the 6L80E auto trans (2006-2010). There are some great aftermarket parts for the 4L60 auto trans (2005)and with a good cooler it will take some heavy power.

The weakest link is the dealer network. My Chevy service department treats me no differently from a Cobalt owner. Last time my vehicle was in for warranty work, the service department scratched my Corvette in two places. They offered to buff the vehicle and then left the buffing residue on the vehicle and on the windshield. The service manager couldn't understand my anger at the condition in which the vehicle was returned.

This is Chevy's flagship vehicle. I expect better treatment. GM does not get it. GM did not deserve our taxpayer money. It's the same old arrogant GM as that which existed prior to bankruptcy.
