my car is bone stock...im having a problem speed shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear so i'll probably need a aftermarket short throw shifter, drag radials, cai, and a wet shot??? i havent taken my car to the track yet but im going as soon as the weather clears up here in Houston..i'll definately do a test run bone stock....either way,im not losing to this guy....
For the record, all 2007 Corvettes are 6 speeds. It's just that some of them are 6 speed manuals and some are 6 speed automatics.
I assume that your's is a manual.

The key words there might be 'drag radials', should probably be the first area that you address.
You might not really need the nitrous but it certainly can provide a nice insurance policy. If you do go with nitrous you might want to consider using a smaller shot (50? 75?) when going up a against a mere low 12 second car because that might be all you'll need and you might find a little more consistency (and traction) with it plus the bottles will last a little longer between fillings.
Last thing ya want to have happen is a bottle going low (or empty) when ya need it most.

I'll give you my opinion for what it's worth...
There's no reason to speed shift it or change the shifter. You need alot of experience launching the car before you will get even close to it's max potential. It's not wise to plan mods before you have any strip experience.
Finally, forget this guy. go to the strip for your own reasons and take your time, at this rate your going to end up with a broken car and losing the race anyway.

You'll be fine...It's all in the traction though...If you guys went from a 30-40 roll you would walk him big time...

When your friend ran that 12.2 @112 was he using the nitrous? A full bolt on (cams, heads , headers) 2005+ Mustang is more than capable of running those numbers on motor alone with a good driver and using drag radials.

yes he was using nitrous.he ran with a 125 shot.he doesnt have aftermarket heads,as far as internals he has cams...his mph does not impress me..
