Rear Glass Trunk Release Mod
I pushed and pushed and it never did anything. I figured it was an option I didn't have, so my inquiry was to try to find a way to get it working.
After re-reading the manual entry, the last part made me think... I wonder if my battery eating FOB woes are related? It would appear so, as my second FOB worked fine. Go figure.
On that note, my FOB just chewed through its 6th battery in 11 months. Now I keep a bunch of spare batteries in my rear compartment, that way when I use the key to open the hatch (and the alarm starts blaring) it's quicker to grab a new battery and stick it in the remote. I usually take my remote apart before opening the hatch to save precious moments.

Yet another electronic oddity, the "window indexing" feature, although handy, has malfunctioned a surprising number of times in a year of ownership. Most notably is when the passenger side failed to go from index level to closed. I never enter, or exit, from the passenger side, so I don't see that side often (unless I'm doing a parking lot walk around to check for dings). I washed my car, as I often do, and out of habit I start from the drivers side and spray the whole car off to clean the light dust and debris. Of course water got in the little index crack before I noticed it. I don't know how long it was down. I hadn't had a passenger in a couple days and I don't think it indexes otherwise. I usually fix it by rolling the window all the way down and back up. I tried the owners manual method the first time, but couldn't remember it the second time, so I just tried all the way down and back up, which worked.
For an $80K+ car, I would expect better. I hate electronic gremlins because they usually plague the car forever. At least the engine hasn't given me a lick of trouble (knock on wood).

This drives me crazy too! Anybody got any secret tricks or knowledge regarding the "pull down" feature??
