Default Dual mode exhaust install?

Hello

My neighbor bought a new Vette and said he wishes he had the dual mode exhaust. Is there a way to install it ? I thought maybe it was already wired in the car where all he had to do is buy a switch and replace mufflers?

Thanks

well if he got an 08 and newer I beleive so if not all he has to do is get the conversion kit and the mufflers he chooses to I would recomend the B&B Fusions that what I put on mine and love the sound over the stock dual modes.

Will need to run a vacuum line from the engine to the new NPP mufflers. Muffler flaps open/close using vacuum.
The switch your refering to is a Mild to Wild. It allows you to take manual control over the mufflers which are automatically controlled by car.

There sure is. Once your neighbor finds a set of used or new NPP or Z06 mufflers to install then he can add a control setup like the NPP in a Box that I sell (and like hundreds before him have) and install the kit. It consists of a vacuum source and all the parts he will need to get the NPP exhaust up and running on his car with complete (remote) control over the opening and closing of the exhaust using vacuum supplied from the manifold.

Unfortunately, if the car didn't come with the NPP from the factory it will not have the software and hardware required to make the NPP operate but with the NPP in a Box kit you can get close to the functionality of the OEM install along with adding user control in the form of a small (keychain sized) remote to open and close the valves. The remote (also known as the Mild 2 Wild control) will also work on any NPP or Bi-mode equipped car and installs in minutes.

You (he) can view and purchase the kit here:

as well as view and download the installation instructions at the above link.
