Ok so I just recently (2 days ago) tinted my car 20% all around. On the rear window towards the top where all the little black dots are did not look right to me. It looked like the tint was not sticking properly. I asked the window tint guy and he said that it was just water, and that it would go away when dry in about 2 days. Has this happened to anyone on here that has had his/her care tinted? Did it end up going away after a few days?.....I even climbed into the trunk today and tried to rub it with a micro fiber cloth and used a blow dryer but still doesnt look 100% in my eyes. Maybe im just being impatient with the tint.
I would give it a couple more days but the bumps on the rear glass are notoriously challenging. Many people sand them down a bit before applying the tint. The guy who did my rear glass probably spent 2 hours alone heat shrinking.

That's 2 days in good sunlight. We were really overcast here and mine took a good week. All is well.
That's a real challenge to get off. The bubbles on the rear defroster are so big they don't allow the tint to sit all the way on the window, such causes it to look like air or water bubbles. I was thinking of grabbing a heat gun and a soft roller and go over the inside of the window to try and get rid of mine. I just haven't gotten around to doing it.
Thanks for all the replies. So today we had nice HOT weather and I had the car out in the sun all day. I think It got a little better but like some have said the black dots wont let the tint sit flat on the glass. I was told by someone at work today about the vinyl mentioned above, he said he saw it on a honda accord forum. Anyway does anyone have any pics of what the vinyl would look like on there. Thanks
My tint guy landed up masking off the area and airbrushing it black. Looks better then black vinyl. The dots are just painted on and so are the area around the outside so now it matches that.
My tint on the vette is stuck good and looks nice up there, however the tint on my GT looks like crap around the black dots. I had a Mach 1 that was already tinted when I got it and they just didnt tint that part, it looked kind of strange, but not enough to pay to fix it.
Hello Gentleman, I'm window tinter (32 years) and a corvette owner & enthusiast. Here's my 2 cents.
The new C 6 are insanity to tint but they can be done without Painting, putting black vinyl or cutting out and leaving the dot matrix area un-tinted. In my opinion it does not look the best due to the contrast between vinyl and tint. If anybody ever needs any advise on tint I will be more than happy to help how ever I can, I have to pay it forward, This forum has been extremely helpful to me
