I have a 2007 C6 and when its first started up and I make a turn it makes an almost scraping kind of noise, and once it warms up it goes away. I was told that there is a tech bulletin on this issue, but I dont know where to look for it.
11000 miles, Just changed the rear end fluid and replaced it with GM spec fluids including 4 oz. of additives today. after I changed it I went to a parking lot and did figure 8's to get the fluids moving around per the GM tech.Seems ok so far

Have just over 10k on mine. I'll be listening out for the noise now.
DMcRacer is correct. Had the same issue with my 05 with 35K miles. Been putting up with it for a while, but have read enough threads to know that it was the differential oil that needed to be changed. As some have said, it almost sounds like it's coming from the right front wheel area when you turn left at slow speeds. Once the oil was warmed up, the noise would disappear. Now that I've had the Diff oil changed, the noise is totally gone. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny. Got a Mobil 1 oil change and the Diff oil change and walked out to the tune of $265. Joined a local club that meets at that dealership the next day, only to find out they get a discount there. Timing is everything.
