I bought my 08 c6 last month. First week I get the "No keyfob Detected" error. I replace the batteries in the fobs, no good.
I take it to chevy dealer, they sync the fob with car again, next day, stiil no fob detected. Take another day off, bring it back to chevy, they said that they have to order parts.
Week later, parts arrive, replaced reciever located behind center con, above radio.
Next day no fobs detected again!!!!
It will only start if I place the fob in the glove box slot. Drive around a while, it startes again.
Anyone have any ideas. This has cost me 3 vacation days off not to mention how pissed off I am at the moment.
I know this may sound stupid, but I had this issue until I quit putting the FOB in the same pocket as my cell phone. I know, I know, sounds weird, but I havent had that alarm since. If I continued to get it, I was going to change the battery in the car to make sure. Thanks
Someone mentioned the cell phone few weeks ago. I have been keeping the cell on the house, not in the car when attempting to start the car. Still no good. IN fact, I had turned the cell off one time when I had it with me.

I have that problem whenever my Garmin GPS and cellphone are plugged into the chargers...I think this issue has been previously covered. Are you charging any kind of electronic device? If so, disconnect them and your problem will probably be solved.
sounds like it can be reproduced easy enough so let the dealer keep the car for a few days this time and have them test it more before you pick it up. I would have the computers reflashed while at it. Cant hurt. Could be a computer glitch? Also I would try a new FOB with new bateries not just new batteries in this one.
Got it!
This has been driving me crazy, so I just went into the garage to try to start the car, and just try to turn on the accessory, nothing as before.
Then started to look around the garage to see what may be affecting the reciever. Several electrical items runing in the garage. Freezer, lawn sprinkler box,,,,,, and Garage door opener. My electric garage door opener, with its transmitter sits directly above the center of the car.
I decedied to turn the circuit breaker off for the garage. went into car, accessory works, car starts.
Turned circuit breaker back on, no good, no start.
So it is that 20 year old piece of crap sears garage door opener reciecer sitting right above my car that was causing the issue.

Good find. There is a lot of stuff out there that will interfere with our fobs. I parked near a mobile ATM once, had to use the key to pop the hatch just to get in. Other places I have parked, the no fob error but place the fob near the radio and I am back on the road.
I guess this might be why we park in the back of the parking lots.

Thanks for the headsup on this mysterious phenomenon - I'm sure there are other scenarios Corvette owners may find themselves in when their cars are parked in close proximity to certain electronic devices...who'd have ever thought (my case) that a simple cellphone charger or GPS charger would affect the FOB.
