Default Larger Rotors

Are there any Larger Rotors available (Z51 size) for the base model without being slotted or cross drilled? Would there be something form a C5 maybe? I want to fill up the wheel but not with a drilled rotor. I understand that I'll need the Z51 caliper brackets but haven't seen any plain larger rotors for the C6.

I have been looking for brakes for several months now and have looked at Brembo, Baer, Willwood, and every other maker out there and none of them list a non-drilled/slotted rotor. I wasn't looking those kind of rotors but I am sure I would've noticed them.

Not trying to be rude but is there a reason you don't want drilled rotors? Or is it just because you like the cleaner look of smooth rotors?

Drilled tend to crack. Dimpled or slotted are fine but I stay away from drilled.

I like the look. I don't want a rotor that may crack.

Do you track the car hard? I think you only see cracking of cross drilled rotors on cars that are really pushed hard on the track. Most of us have no problems.

My DBA's are slotted, but the slotting isn't that noticeable.

Unless you are running the car very hard for 25-30 minute sessions on a road course at an HPDE, don't even give cracks the first concern!!!

If you're looking to put these on the car in your avatar, you're not going to be tracking it unless you put a roll bar or cage in it.

I had a 2005 and had the same issue as you with the big gap between the rear wheel and the rotor. Here's what I did:

Those are Baer Eradispeed Plus rotors. They're actually a 2 inch greater diameter (14 inch diameter) than the OE rear rotors on a non-Z51. They come with an extension to move the mounting bracket out 1 inch, so they are very easy to mount.

They're not the cheapest solution, but they look great!!!

Here's a before pic for comparison (and before lowering):

They're a 2 piece rotor, and I got matching ones for the front.

Sir,

Check out this website. They may be able to help.

I use them on my 07 Z51 and like them a lot, very light.

Sorry!!!

In one of your previous posts it sounded like you liked the d/s look but were worried about cracking.

Many of the hard core track guys with a Z51 just get a bracket off a base C6 and use base C6/C5 rotors because AFAIK there is just not anything readily available in Z51 sizes.

Good luck, and sorry to have mentioned any other possible solution.

BTW, I don't believe those Perf AFX rotors linked in Gering's post above will allow you use the parking brake. But maybe Gering can tell you more.

I like slotted, but won't buy drilled again.

Baer offers a 15" rotor with their 6 piston system.

Here is the 14" compared to a C5 system with an 18" wheel.
If your looking for a true upgrade this is the way to go IMO.

Monoblock caliper will not flex and cause fade, 6 pistons and the easiest pad swap you could ever imagine to make track days a breeze.
Two nuts and thats it.

We have what you are looking for. We offer them in the Z51 sizes so you do not need to change brackets. The rear rotors do have the park brake provisions in them. As a matter of fact unless someone has copied ours, our rotors are the only two piece rotors with aluminum hats that have parking brakes. Our part numbers for the Z51 are DB-804 and DB-806, these are slotted and NOT drilled. I can custom order the rotors drilled, it will add $50 per rotor.
Thanks
Justin
