Default Z06 Exhaust

I am going to be buying a full Z06 exhaust for my 08 m6. Will I get a check engine light when I install? I was curious if it is basically install and you are good to go, I know I will need a tune to maximize the exhaust. But wondering about the check engine light...

When you get a quality tune they should remove any codes at that time. Do you plan on doing an intake at the same time? You should if you dont already have one.

I did not get any check engine lights on my LS2 with full Z06 exhaust. Been running a couple months like that now. I'm holding off on a tune until I get some more performance parts.

As long as each bank of 02 sensors is reconnected where it should be, you won't get any codes!

Arent they sometimes codes due to the extended distance from the ext. port?

Other than diameter size, what other difference(s) are there in Z06 exhaust? (I did not know there was any difference xcept size)

The LS7 exhaust manifolds are hydroformed stainless steel with much better exhaust scavenging as compared to the smaller cast iron LS3 exhaust manifolds.

No "extended distance" if he's using stock Z06 manifolds, cats and sensors.
