Default Question about porting the intake

I see that some people cut the center post out off the intake and others make it super skinny.


Will it hurt you in anyway having them removed?

Wonder why people say not to because it will suck the intake down with all the pressure!

I've done it before. Those posted are pretty wide. No matter how you look at it, it's an obstruction to air.
