Had a 2800 in my A6(loved it). Changed to a 3600 so I could get some better ET's. Did not do anything more than my 2800. The A6 responds very well to an upgraded torque converter. My ride has 3:15 gears and has the typical bolt-on's. Typical 60 ft is 1.59-160's my ET's inproved with the 2800 over stock by 4 tenths. Drivability on the street is liveable and there isn't much difference between the 2800 and the 3600. If I were to do it all over again..I would probably choose a 3200 stall with 3.42 gears. I hope this helps you with your decision. Mike

There is definitely a difference between a stock stall and a high stall. But it is not that bad..It is not like the old days when a big stall was only for track use. The new stalls work well on the street. I would stick with a good quality manufacturer...my first(2800) was a Vigalante my second (3600)is a Yank. Both work well. Both these manufacturers stand behind their product. I believe the Yank cost less but Vigalante gives you one upgrade at no charge.
