Default Vibration in front wheels.

Had new GM slotted and drilled rotors with ceramic pads installed a couple of weeks ago by local Chevy dealer. My observation is that between 75 and 80 mph is seems like there is a slight resonant vibration in the steering wheel. I didnt have this problem that I recall prior to new brake rotor and pad installation. I don't think that the wheels were balanced after new rotors installed. Could it be possible that there is some differance in the mass or a heavy spot in the rotor causing this. The vibration is not real bad just noticable at this speed. I drive 50 of my 70 one way miles to work on I-75 North each day. Am open for any past experiance with this or suggestions. Car brakes fine and straight. Thanks for any help. This is an 05 with base suspension and 34,700 miles.

It's possible but very unlikely that new rotors would be out of balance. Getting your tire balance checked should be your first move.

I agree with Walt. It sounds more like a tire balance issue to me. I'd have them re-balanced. If there's an issue with the rotors/pads, it will vibrate while braking.

If you have hit any pot holes lately, a bent front wheel could also cause a vibration problem that wheel/tire balancing won't cure. I had a vibration problem on my new C6 and it was a bent wheel.

No not any potholes. I was reading about the Hunter force balancing, would that be the way to go. Vibration is ever so slight and only between 75 and 80 but that puts additional wear on the rest of the suspension I would think. Thanks guys for the input much appreciated.
