Default The loudest c6 exhaust

I just bought a 2007 C6, the car is all stock except for the air intake. I hate the stock exhaust!! I'm looking for something with a deep growl< can anyone help?

B&B Bullets -

SLP Loudmouth (but it doesnt sound as deep as teh B&B) -

Borla Stingers -

NONE of these videos do justice for the sound of these mufflers in real life

Get yourself a generous helping of HP instead of just adding mufflers. A set of Longtube headers and take off NPP's will get you a car that adds about 35HP+TQ and sound quite like this a WOT.

Mufflers for our cars are so expensive, even when they are just mandrel bent piping with hangers. . Just get turndowns.

If you look close you can see birds dropping dead and falling from the trees.

I did just the rear section first, and I most say it sounds and feels a lot better after adding some LG headers.

Looked at your profile. Do you have a C6?
C5's have different displacement, heads, manifolds, cats and pipes. They're going to sound quite different than a C6 system.

If you're thinking of headers down the road, be prepared it will be much louder!

yes i have a c6 now. i havent updated my profile yet.

I had headers and B&Bs on my c5, it was SO aweome how it sounded. but it was still daily driven without making me go def.

But i'm young and i dont hear the drone that alot of vette owners say they hear with their mufflers, even corsa touring lol

Pretty much the same cat-backs are the loudest on the C6 as the C5.. Bullets and SLP Loudmouths.

Also, be careful when watching or listening to videos.. a heads/cam car or even cam only modded car will change the exahust note and make it nastier.

Also, firing order of the engine is what really makes a difference in the exahust note, more so than most other things. That's why you'll hear Mustangs sound a lot cooler stock than vettes. Sure the diameter of the pipes, and displacement effects it too, but more the firing order.

I've heard both those cat-backs on C5 and C6 with headers, and there is really not that much difference even though the LS2/3 is larger and has different heads than the LS1

i have headers, off road X pipe and ZO6 mufflers with the muffler mod. its NASTY one way and stock (but with headers and a big cam) the other way. 90% of the time its in loud mode, but coming home from a bar, or on a trip sometime si make them quite.
